A bit about Joe personally. He was born December 22, 1971, in Miami, Florida. His mother, Kathie introduced him to the wonders of travel at a young age, which has led him on trips to Western Europe and Japan and spurred him to take his dream vacation, a two-week safari in East Africa in 2006. (Check out his blog all about the adventure – http://noledawg.blogspot.com.) He has a sister Betsy – she is older, he is taller. They bought our first Scottish Terrier when he was a seven, and since then he has been a “father” to many more, including one right now, Boon Spirit. In high school, he was introduced to the works of Nelson DeMille, becoming an avid reader of his novels as well as those of Jeffery Archer, Steve Berry, Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. After his freshman year at FSU his family moved to East Cobb, making him a Georgia resident since 1991. Recently he discovered a love for playing the piano and attending the Atlanta Opera.
He is a licensed attorney, graduating from the UGA School of Law in 1998. He received an MBA in economics and international business from UGA Terry College of Business in 1995, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida State University in 1994.
